What’s New in Plone 4 — Plone CMS: Open Source Content Management

Whoa!  how’d i miss this one? Plone 4 is out (since Sept, actually) now shipping 4.0.2, in fact.

The list of new features is pretty exciting, especially this:

What’s New in Plone 4 — Plone CMS: Open Source Content Management: “Plone 4′s user interface has been polished and refined so it’s even more intuitive. Plone 4 includes a new graphical HTML editor (TinyMCE), improved default configuration settings and more.”

This TinyMCE editor, married to jQuery, enables Plone to deliver on the promise of “Elegant Minimalism” in a powerful way. Plus it’s 50% faster, reportedly (?!)… Anyway, i gotta check it out -using it to build my personal Python (and related tech) learning environment.

(good thing i visited VersionTracker today: thanx, VT leaderboard!)
